Attention all Northwesterners or travelers! The Portland Zine Symposium is coming your way and of course I'll be there! Come by and say "Hi, Tod!" I've been ignoring the shop a bit during this hectic time of school preparations/ zine symposium, but I'll start listing more kitties and things in a few weeks.
Junior is back from his trip to Honduras... the impetus for our little shop here. This year their team finished the remaining latrines, fixed the roof on the school and painted inside the school building. And yes... as of today, they are beginning to organize another trip for next year, again to Honduras to assist a community close by. If you want to know more you can read my profile.
Donations for June & July! I've calculated sales and I've donated $9.00 to Cat Adoption Team and the rest goes to help junior earn his way to Honduras in June 2009: That makes $53 total to animal charities: The Pixie Project and Cat Adoption Team. Thanks for your purchases! We are donating 50 cents a kitty to The Pixie Project (www.pixieproject.org) OR Cat Adoption Team--100% of their earnings go to help homeless animals in need. Copies of receipts available upon request. We are now a member of etsyforanimals.org, ecoetsy and the etsy zine team. Starting in June I will be sending out the donation check every other month so August and September donations will be sent the first week of October.
FYI, September through mid-June, due to my massive work hours (I'm a teacher), I cannot do special orders for items not in stock, sorry. I love doing trades for yarn and soap (and of course trading zines) so just ask.
